LEO VALLS
A professional skateboarder for over 15 years, Léo Valls is sponsored by brands such as DC shoes or Magenta skateboards. He has worked on the creation of numerous articles, films and exhibitions with multiple media, agencies, associations, communities and international skateboarders.
As the initiator of the process to legalize and integrate skateboarding in the city of Bordeaux, he now works as a consultant and skate referent alongside municipal services, elected officials, architecture firms, landscape architects, skateboard associations, researchers, engineers and event agencies.
He develops strategies for mediation, communication and integration, and projects that highlight the social and cultural dimension of skateboarding through the creation of exhibitions and events, as well as the installation of itinerant skateable art sculptures . He's the program director of the festival Connect, a new international event dedicated to skateboarding culture and its relationship to urban planning, highlighting its cultural and artistic aspects.
Léo Valls communicates the positive values of skateboarding and the importance of taking this practice into account in the urban planning of tomorrow's cities through conferences, workshops, participative workshops and guided tours.
A technical expert, he assists project managers and contractors in the design and implementation of shared skate facilities, street furniture and landscaped skateparks.
